This week's Featured Author Friday highlights Lady Lisa Seymour, the founder of Broken 2 Be Blessed Ministries, a ministry dedicated to helping women heal, grow, and rediscover their worth through Christ. Lady Lisa's personal story of overcoming loss, shame, and identity struggles is captured in her debut book, After the Fall, which invites readers to find grace and redemption, no matter how far they’ve fallen.

In After the Fall, Lisa openly shares her journey through unresolved pain, the loss of children, and the strain in her relationship with God that ultimately led to her fall. But her message is one of hope—reminding others that there is grace, even after the hardest moments. The updated edition, After the Fall 2.0, released in February 2023, continues this important conversation about restoration in the church. Lisa's upcoming 21-day devotional, I Said What I Said Signed, God: Moving from Fear to Faith, will be released in 2024.

Lisa also co-authored a book with four other women, sharing their stories of child loss, and she continues to mentor young women ages 18-35 through her weekly virtual Bible study, which draws participants from multiple states. In 2025, Lisa will host the first annual Healing Her Within: Soul Care Edition conference, offering women a courageous space to release burdens and heal from their past traumas.

As an Associate Minister at Logan Street Baptist Church and the Associate Executive Director of Program Support for a Private Child Welfare Service Agency in Illinois, Lady Lisa is deeply committed to serving others. She holds a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Care from Northern Seminary and is currently completing certifications in Mental Health and Life Coaching. Her heart is to extend grace and speak life to those the world may overlook.
